Job Title: Machinist
Department: Machine Shop
Reports to: Lead Person – Machine Shop
Job Definition: Under limited direction of Lead Person, operates milling,
lathe, cutting and drilling machines including those with computerize
controls.
In order to meet production-scheduling requirements, employee in this
position may be reassigned on a temporary or permanent basis.
Employee must furnish certain tools, such as calipers & micrometers.
Job requires considerable working with heavy materials and equipment.
Must be able to read blue prints accurately.
Requirements:
1. Education & Trade Knowledge – Requires use of precision
instruments and some trade knowledge equivalent to one to three years
of trades training.
2. Experience – Minimum of one year in field.
3. Initiative & Ingenuity – Requires the use of judgment to plan and
perform diversified work where methods are available making general
decisions within prescribed limitations as to quality, tolerances,
operation and set-up sequence.
4. Physical Demand – Considerable physical effort working with
continuously average or frequently heavy weight ( Over 60 lb ) material
or equipment.
5. Mental and/or Visual Demand – Contentrated mental and visual
attention in planning, laying out, or performing complex work to very
close limits.
6. Working Conditions – Good conditions, but may be slightly dirty or
involve occasional exposure to some other elements.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Job Description:
Design and oversee the development, installation, and operation of machines, equipment or systems taking into account cost, availability of materials, strength and maintenance requirements, safety and manufacturability, appearance and impact on the user and on the environment.
Job Function:
- Performs engineering assignments with objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications.
- Performs design calculations and prepares equipment and/or material specifications.
- Ability to perform designs using Autocad, Solidworks, and Cosmos software.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables and supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems.
- May supervise or co-ordinate the work of designers and other technical support personnel.
- Set up work control systems, e.g. testing of equipment to make sure those standards of performance, quality, cost and safety are met.
- Provides production support to the machining area and the assembly area.
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Handles Material Review Board responsibilities for Product Engineering.
Preferred Experience:
- MRP-ERP knowledge preferred.
- Should be familiar with the automotive industry and truck up fitting.
- Should be familiar with structural welding and weld symbols.
- Experience with Autocad, Solidworks and Cosmos software a plus.
- Hydraulic, electrical and automotive experience also preferred.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be willing to adhere to safety requirements.
- Must be able to identify, analyze and solve problems.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to accept responsibility.
Mathematical Skills:
- May occasionally use calculus and differential equations.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Special Requirements:
Must have initiative. Will work independently and as part of a team. Must possess a strong desire to learn. Candidate must enjoy computing and technical design and be practical and creative.

Job Title: Database Analyst
Reporting to: IT Manager
Job Purpose: To provide front line support for Fourth Shift ERP/MRP running on a Microsoft SQL database engine. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day application support on all core business applications including Fourth Shift and related products and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support existing MS Access reports tied to Fourth Shift
- Define, develop and document standard operating procedures for Fourth Shift
- Schedule and execute batch runs.
- Perform recovery procedures when needed.
- Assist in conversion of key operational software to MS SQL database
- Keep users informed of system changes.
- Insure users are trained at the appropriate levels on system topics.
- Provide report writing support as requested
- Assist the IT Operations Manager in any other support requirements.
- On-call rotations with other IT team members
Training: Training will be provided as required
Personal Specifications:
- Able to work within project time scales with minimum supervision.
- Able to communicate well with all levels both inside and outside the organization.
- Keen to develop skills and not be afraid of asking questions in order to understand and achieve the objectives.
- Easy going and able to work in a team environment.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Access, & Excel is required.
- Working knowledge of PC network operations using an EMC storage solution.

Job Title: Production Design Drafter
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop production drawings per engineering layouts.
- Create assembly drawings for plant assembly and product manuals.
- Create bills of materials.
- Use ECR process to keep drawings and bills of materials accurate.
- Work with plant personnel to audit production drawings and bills of materials.
- Perform duties reasonably assigned by Engineering Manager
Special Skills:
- PC applications including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- AutoCAD and Solidworks experience.
- Ability to measure accurately using machine tools.
- MRP applications experience.
- Excel in interpersonal and written communication and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
Two-year trade school degree or equivalent work experience.
