Continuous Improvement Technician, Assistant – Summer Help
Summary: Supports process improvement teams by analyzing processes, identifying inefficiencies, gathering data, and assisting in implementing solutions. Document updated processes, create training materials, and monitor the effectiveness of improvements, all while collaborating with improvement teams and managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement and potential bottlenecks.
- Gather and analyze data to support process improvement initiatives, including identifying inefficiencies and measuring the effectiveness of improvements.
- Assist in the implementation of new or improved processes and procedures.
- Document updated processes and procedures, ensuring they are clear, concise, and readily accessible.
- Develop and deliver training materials to educate staff on new processes and procedures.
- Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of implemented improvements and identify any areas for further refinement.
- Work closely with continuous improvement teams and managers to support their initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
- High School Degree or GED required.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and understand professional publications.
- Ability to read and understand company policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical publications and engineering drawings.
- Articulate and confident in conversation skills.
- Ability to develop instructional materials that are clear, concise, and understandable.
Math Skills:
- Basic math including fundamental algebra.
Computer Skills:
- Familiar with the use of PC’s.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office or similar applications (Google Docs, Gmail, Libre Office, Thunderbird)
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel or similar applications. (Google Docs, Libre Office)
- Familiar with the use of internet browsers such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- SolidWorks and DraftSight experience is a plus.
- Viso experience is a plus.
