More than 35 years ago, Stellar was founded on helping customers become more productive. We have never wavered from that core value, and we never will. 

At the beginning, the company founders used their knowledge to produce equipment that helped customers raise productivity — and we didn’t stop there. As we built customer relationships, attended trade shows and formed partnerships with distributors, we asked questions. What problems are you facing? What product features do you wish you had? What are the unique needs of your business and your industry? This increased understanding of real-world issues has helped us better serve customers in many markets, and that customer-centric approach is embodied in our “Made For Work. Built For You.” guiding principle.

The balance of the two phrases is essential. “Made For Work” is crucial because we understand you have a job to do and uptime is everything. You need rugged products that can handle tough worksite conditions day in and day out. “Built For You” is important, too, because no two businesses are exactly alike. You need equipment outfitted for your needs, so Stellar offers a range of sizes, styles, configurations and more. 

Stellar Designs Begin With Customer Needs

We build equipment around the people who use it, so our design process starts in the field. By listening to customers and learning about the evolving needs of different markets, we can make sure our products evolve, too, to help solve those challenges. 

For example, Stellar^® TMAX™ Mechanic Trucks have been leading the industry for years, yet we’ve never stood pat. Between the variety of sizes, customization accessories and designs, there are more than 4,000 possible configurations. When we say we can meet your specific needs, we mean it. 

Sometimes we get a request from a customer, such as a technician who wished he had a way to transport used oil filters without making a mess. That led to the development of a deep drawer in our toolbox systems to contain used, dripping oil filters. Small need? Yes. Useful? You bet. That’s what “Built For You” is all about. 

An example of bigger innovations came when we learned about customers losing vital work hours because of morning and evening noise restrictions. We helped get those productive hours back through a lineup of electric service cranes and the development of our Hybrid Power Source. 

Recent input from customers also led to infinitely adjustable shelving and flexible storage capabilities on current TMAX models, and this year we responded to a desire for improved visibility with high-intensity taillights with integrated strobes and a cascading turn signal. We will never stop innovating to help our customers.
