From Warm Welcomes to Sweet Success

If you’ve walked into Stellar’s headquarters during the last couple of years, you’ve been met by Jen Anderson’s bright and smiling face. Her hard work as an Administrative Assistant is seen daily in the encouraging and uplifting presence that constantly motivates everyone around her. As a mom and personal business owner, Jen strives to positively impact others in any way she can.

At Stellar, Jen provides support in all capacities to ensure employee satisfaction and organizational needs. She works closely with the Human Resources team while also supporting each department and collaborating with all Stellar locations. From greeting guests to assisting with new hire orientation, Jen serves as a knowledgeable resource who helps guide employee-owners in the right direction.

Coming from an agriculture background, Jen learned from a young age that hard work and dedication pay off. She prioritizes creating strong relationships with all employee-owners and visitors.

“Sitting at the front desk, I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of our employee-owners and hear their stories,” Jen says. “Getting to know them is amazing.” By being the to-go person for anyone in the company, she finds success by helping others succeed and improving the day-to-day experience of those around her.

Outside of her excellence at Stellar, she is also the owner of Crumb Together, a stuffed cookie business. Jen and her mom partner together to deliver unique stuffed cookies and cookie cakes to people throughout North Iowa. One day, out of curiosity, she decided to see if people on social media would be interested in purchasing stuffed cookies from her. Within minutes, she had sold out, and it sparked the idea of a side hobby that has continued to grow over the years.

Again understanding the importance of hard work and dedication, her baking perfection did not happen overnight. “Patience and practice will help you achieve perfection. Find what works best for you,” Jen says. Customer favorites include S’mores and Snickerdoodle cookies, and she hopes to one day offer pastries and breads while owning a storefront.

Jen says she is very eager to see what the future holds for both Crumb Together and Stellar. “Seeing how Stellar has impacted the lives of employee-owners and the lives of so many in our surrounding communities, it makes me happy to be a part of the whole picture,” she says.
