Stellar Videos: Insights From WasteExpo
05.20.25

Productivity is important in every industry, but it’s particularly essential for waste and recycling companies. The capability to move more containers per day directly leads to more profits. At the recent WasteExpo, the Stellar team showcased equipment that helps waste, recycling and scrap companies spend less time per job as well as expand their business opportunities. Check out this video for a recap of the event, including the unveiling of new Stellar products.
Expanded Stellar Hooklift Lineup
At last year’s WasteExpo, Stellar wowed attendees with the release of the NXT68 Hooklift, so it was only natural that visitors flocked to the Stellar booth this year to see what’s new. They weren’t disappointed as Stellar’s display included the new NXT30 Hooklift and the Refuse Hopper.
As Tim Worman, Stellar’s Director of Product Management, notes, “A hooklift solves a lot of problems for waste and recycling companies. Historically, a flatbed, dump body and refuse container would require three trucks with three operators, three licenses and three levels of insurance. With a hooklift, one truck and one operator can do it all, giving the company a far greater return on investment.”
NXT30 Hooklift
For waste and recycling companies seeking a medium-length hooklift, the new NXT30 is the perfect choice. It’s designed to handle 12′ to 16′ bodies for 130″ to 156″ CA chassis. With a best-in-class lost load height and 30,000-lb capacity, it can handle a wide range of jobs. The new 24,000-lb capacity NXT24 Hooklift was also introduced at the show. Take a tour with Worman.

Refuse Hopper
Gated communities, college campuses, golf courses, beaches and other urban environments can have tight spaces or regulations that make it difficult to use large waste-removal vehicles. The Refuse Hopper is designed to meet the needs of picking up trash in special applications, all while having a smaller carbon footprint. Ideal for small cleanup jobs, the 2-cubic-yard poly hopper can be powered by hydraulics or a DC power pack.

Don’t Just Take Our Word for It
While we’re always happy to talk about our products, we know you’d rather hear from people who are out there doing the work. During his visit to WasteExpo, Junk Rescue’s Kyle McAnaugh stopped by the Stellar booth and shared his thoughts on how Stellar helps his business.
