Stellar made its debut at bauma 2025, the world’s largest construction machinery and mining trade fair. Held in Munich, Germany, from April 7 – 13, this major event allowed Stellar to highlight its innovative tire service solutions and showcase its continued growth on the global stage. As part of Stellar’s 35th anniversary milestone in 2025, bauma offered an ideal platform for the company to strengthen international partnerships and demonstrate its commitment to delivering world-class products like the TM16160/28000 Large OTR Tire Service Truck.

Proud to Serve More International Customers

At the event, Dave Zrostlik, President of Stellar, reflected on the company’s continued success and its recognition in 2024 with the President’s E Award, which honors excellence in export for U.S. manufacturers. He highlighted bauma as a key show for Stellar due to the company’s ongoing growth into global markets, particularly in the mining industry. “We’re proud of how far we’ve come, especially in the global mining sector,” Zrostlik says. “Our tire-changing equipment is unique in its scale, and we’re excited to continue developing products that serve markets around the world. As visitors stopped by Stellar’s booth at bauma 2025, Zrostlik shared his perspective on the questions and curiosities they often bring to the table. “A lot of people want to understand our history and the stability of our company. What often stands out to them — and what they find most intriguing — is that Stellar is a 100% employee-owned company,” Zrostlik says. “It’s not something that’s widely understood outside the U.S., but it’s a key differentiator for us. Showcasing Cutting-Edge Equipment: TM16160/28000 Large OTR Tire Service Truck

Among the standout products at bauma 2025 was the Stellar^® TM16160/28000 on a Large OTR Tire Service Truck, a powerful machine designed for large OTR tire service. Equipped with a Stellar 110P Two-Stage Air Compressor, the tire manipulator can change tires up to 57″. With a lifting capacity of 16,500 lbs at a distance of 15′ and a clamping range from 158″ down to 40″, the TM16160/28000 is designed to handle a wide variety of tire sizes efficiently. Its continuous rotating pads and ample storage space further enhance its functionality.

Oppermann shared valuable insights into the truck’s capabilities. “Designed specifically for large-scale mining operations, the TM16160/28000 tackles some of the toughest tire service challenges in the industry,” he says. “Its robust features deliver the ultimate versatility, making it the go-to solution for operators in demanding environments.”

Key features shown include a rear-mounted tire manipulator, which provides flexibility for performing tire changes on both sides of the truck, enhancing efficiency and safety in tight spaces. The truck’s adjustable stabilizers ensure stability on various terrains, allowing operators to work in areas that typically require more complex setups. With multiple manual and remote-control options, operators can maintain full control from a safe distance, especially in hazardous or hard-to-reach areas. Oppermann adds, “Operators appreciate the remote-control option because it gives them the freedom to stay safe while maintaining control over the operation.”

The TM16160/28000 ensures maximum versatility, adaptability and ease of use for all working conditions. “The TM16160/28000 is built to withstand the most demanding environments while making tire service operations more efficient,” Oppermann says.
