Stellar Employee Spotlight: Tyler Havens
12.11.25
Community support has always been a key value at Stellar. Just as employee-owners find success within company walls, many bring the same spirit of teamwork and pride into their neighborhoods. Tyler Havens certainly does through his involvement in the Clear Lake, Iowa, community.
Tyler joined Stellar a little over five years ago, starting as an Assistant Product Manager. He then moved to Product Manager for a wide range of products, including mechanic trucks, cranes, accessories, fuel and lube trailers and utility trailers. His knowledge and personable skills made him a great fit for sales, so he took advantage of an opening to join the sales team.
“It was a great opportunity for me to take on a new challenge and get exposure in sales,” Havens says. Now in the role of Stellar’s Sales Manager for LubeMate®, FuelMate® and Trailers, Tyler enjoys making new connections with customers nationwide and helping them find the ideal solutions for their needs.
Tyler brings that same passion to activities in the community. During the pandemic in 2020, he recognized the importance of local support in challenging times. Inspired by his high school cross country coach, he felt driven to make a meaningful impact on athletes just as his coach had done for him. He recently finished his sixth season as head coach of the Clear Lake High School boys and girls cross country teams, sending 16 individual qualifiers and four teams to the Iowa high school state cross country meet. With a strong emphasis on goal setting, he wants his athletes to understand that consistent effort, no matter the challenge, will lead to great success.
Tyler has also helped with the school’s girls basketball team and currently serves as head coach of the boys track and field team.
“It’s important to inspire future generations into the next stages of their lives,” Havens says. “I want every athlete I work with to have a skillset that will set them up for success beyond high school.” He finds it rewarding to see the hard work and dedication athletes put in each day.
Commitment to success for all helps drive Tyler in his community efforts and his career. He exemplifies the core values of what it means to be an employee-owner at Stellar. He is willing to step into any role and does so with confidence, knowing he has the full support of his supervisors and colleagues. “Company culture is critical to me,” Havens says. “Here, I know that people are willing to go out of their way to help me succeed and support me. The culture we have here is not something you find at a lot of companies.”
